Like many people living in the Land of Enchantment I was born and raised elsewhere. In my case it was a small town on the coast of central New Jersey where I attended public schools ,and joined the Army eighteen months after high school.

After training I was fortunate to serve my entire tour of duty in Germany working as reporter and radio correspondent for the Third Armored Division in Frankfurt, then as a reporter/special events correspondent with the American Forces Network.

The most important and blessed event of the time spent in Europe was meeting and marrying my wife Beate. After 39 plus years, three children, (Michele, Stefanie and David), and six grandchildren we’re still honeymooning and enjoying every minute together.

When my active duty service was completed, we moved to California where I attended college, and began my career in the insurance industry with Metropolitan. Four years later I joined Motorola as a sales/engineer representative and moved to New Mexico for the first time in 1978. We immediately fell in love with this state.

Transferred to Texas in 1980, I converted to the faith in 1981 and joined the Knights in the spring of 1983. Three years later I returned to New Mexico as a Field Agent for the Order and never looked back. Aside from three years in Wisconsin as a General Agent, we’ve been here since then. The relationships that have developed with Brother Knights and their families over the past two decades are treasures without price and I am grateful for them every day.

My career with the Order has given me opportunities for a truly professional education including LUTC, (Life Underwriters Training College), Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellowship, Certified Senior Advisor as well as continuous training in retirement and estate planning and business insurance. Over the years I have been fortunate in being chosen as Agent of the Month and Agent of the Year several times plus recognition from supreme Council in various ways. The most important form of “recognition”, however, is when Brother Knights tell me they are glad we visited and they became happily involved in protecting their families through the Order’s programs.

After all these years associated with the financial services industry I can truly say there is no better way for a Brother Knight to protect his family and help plan for their financial future than through the programs offered by the Order. I hope to continue serving New Mexico families for many more years.

Before I begin to tell you a bit about myself and my background let me say — greetings and our Lord’s blessings to all my Brother Knights and families.
