Grants Council Wins First Degree Team of the Year Trophy |
|
Albuquerque May, 2009: At the 2009 New Mexico Knights of Columbus State Convention, St. Teresa of Avila Council No 3683 received the First Degree Team of the Year Award. Delegate and Deputy Grand Knight Joe Valencia accepted the award on behalf of his Council. This desirable award recognizes the Council whose team best exemplifies the initiation to new members of the Order in New Mexico. Council 3683 will hold the trophy until the 2010 State Convention, when it will be presented to the next winning Council. |

2008 New Mexico Field Agent of the Year: Gabriel Moya |

Albuquerque May, 2009: At the 2008-2009 New Mexico Knights of Columbus State Convention, 2008 Field Agent of the Year was awarded to Gabe Moya. FA Moya is a member of Council 1226 in Las Cruces, NM. He serves Knights of Columbus members in Las Cruces and Southwestern New Mexico. Gabe has been an agent of the Order since January, 2008.
Moya earned this prestigious award by writing over $6.8 million of life insurance for Knights of Columbus members in 2008. He led the McCabe Agency in life production, attaining 146% of his annual quota. |

As the initiation is often a new members’ first impression of our Order, General Agent, Jim McCabe sponsors this travelling trophy to improve the quality of First Degree’s in New Mexico. Field Agents evaluate First Degree’s throughout the fraternal year to measure their success. |

Charles Lange Joins the NM Insurance Team |
|
Albuquerque November, 2009: SK Charles Lange of Grants became the newest agent in New Mexico. Charles is a member of Council 3683 and The Fr Howard Meyer, OFM Assembly No 2218. He will be serving the members of Albuquerque while in training through November 2009. In December, he plans to relocate to Las Cruces.
Charles is single. He earned a BA in Business from the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Since then he has been working in banking. He will apply his experience and success to serving our members and their families, always working to keep Father McGivney’s promise. |

Newest Agent in NM - Deacon Don Cupps |

Albuquerque June, 2009: Deacon Donald Cupps of Estancia Valley Catholic Community became the newest agent in New Mexico. Deacon Don is a member of Council 10835. He will be serving the members of Albuquerque and the Southeastern area of New Mexico.
Don married Ellie in 1970. He joined the Order in 1988. Deacon Don brings a significant history of success from several companies. He will apply his experience and success to serving our members and their families, always working to keep Father McGivney’s promise. |

Newest Agent is from Alamogordo: Mike Guilliams |

Albuquerque January, 2010: SK Michael Guilliams of Alamogordo became the newest Field Agent serving our members in New Mexico. Michael is a member of Council 3355. He will receive his initial training in Albuquerque to prepare him to serve his home town of Alamogordo as well as Ruidoso and the Roswell/Carlsbad Areas.
Michael and his wife Sheri are proud parents to Elizabeth. He will apply his experience and success to serving our members and their families, always working to keep Father McGivney’s promise. |

FA Kevin Dixon Earns FIC |

Albuquerque December, 2009: Field Agent, Kevin Dixon of Albuquerque earned the Fraternal Insurance Counselor Certification (FIC). Kevin completed several exams and many hours of study to earn this coveted award.
Kevin serves our members in Albuquerque, Grants and Gallup. He will apply his extensive knowledge and experience to serving our members and their families, always working to keep Father McGivney’s promise. |

Mike McCabe becomes 8th Agent in New Mexico |

Albuquerque June, 2010: SK Michael McCabe of Albuquerque became the newest Field Agent serving our members in New Mexico. Michael is a member of Lamy Council 4227. He will serve Knights of Columbus Families in Albuquerque and Clovis. Originally from Tucson, AZ, Mike has been a member since age 18. He took his 4th Degree at age 19.
Michael and his wife Victoria are proud parents to Katrina. They are also expecting their second child He will apply his experience and success to serving our members and their families, always working to keep Father McGivney’s promise. |

He serves Knights of Columbus members in Albuquerque and Farmington. Gabe has been an agent of the Order since January, 2008.
